Diablo 4 Season 15: How to Farm Baal Runs and Get Mythic Uniques

If you want to farm Mythic Uniques in Diablo 4 Season 15, Baal runs are worth adding to your endgame routine. The Waking Nightmares content brings players back to familiar locations, including Worldstone Keep, where you fight through several encounters before facing the Echo of Baal.

The appeal is simple: you get a repeatable activity with a clear route and several opportunities to collect useful loot. However, speed alone does not guarantee better rewards. Choosing the right difficulty, using an efficient build, and avoiding unnecessary fights can make a noticeable difference over a long farming session.

What Are Baal Runs in Diablo 4 Season 15?

Baal runs take place in Worldstone Keep, recreating a familiar journey for players who remember Diablo II. The route takes you through Ancients’ Way, the Arrest Summit, Worldstone Keep, and the Throne of Destruction before reaching the Echo of Baal.

The activity is built around several encounters rather than one quick boss fight. You need to defeat the three Ancients, move through the dungeon, handle the enemy waves, and finish the final boss. Each stage adds time to the run, so knowing where to focus your attention is important.

Season 15 includes different versions of the encounter for different stages of progression. Make sure you meet the requirements for the version you want to farm and can clear it consistently. A higher difficulty is not automatically more efficient if your character struggles with enemies or dies frequently.

Another advantage is that Baal runs provide an alternative to the usual Lair Boss farming loop. Instead of focusing entirely on gathering summoning materials, you can work through a repeatable dungeon route and collect its rewards.

The Best Baal Run Route

1. Move Through Ancients’ Way

Start by following the route toward Arreat Summit. If your build has strong mobility, use it to cover ground quickly and avoid stopping for every ordinary monster.

You do not need to clear every group just because it appears on the screen. Focus on enemies that block your path or pose a genuine threat. This is particularly useful when repeating the activity several times in one session.

That said, do not sacrifice consistency for a few seconds of saved time. If your character is still undergeared, clearing selected groups can provide useful experience and additional drops.

2. Defeat the Three Ancients

At Arreat Summit, you must face Madawc, Korlic, and Talic. Treat this as a required encounter rather than a pack of ordinary enemies.

Pay attention to positioning and avoid standing in overlapping attacks. If your build relies on cooldowns, save your strongest abilities for moments when you can deal damage safely. Players with strong area damage can handle the encounter differently from builds that focus on one target at a time.

Once the Ancients are defeated, collect any useful rewards and continue toward Worldstone Keep.

3. Push Through Worldstone Keep

This section is where movement speed and target selection become especially important. Follow the route toward the Throne of Destruction instead of spending too much time exploring side areas.

Use movement skills to bypass enemies when possible, but deal with groups that prevent you from advancing. A build with reliable area damage will generally have an easier time maintaining momentum than one that needs to attack each enemy individually.

Keep your defensive resources available as well. Dying or repeatedly retreating to recover can cost more time than clearing a few extra monsters.

4. Clear the Throne of Destruction

The Throne of Destruction encounter requires you to deal with enemy waves before progressing to the final area. Area-of-effect skills are particularly useful here because they can eliminate several enemies at once.

Avoid wasting major cooldowns just before another wave appears. Use defensive abilities when enemies crowd your character, and prioritize dangerous targets if they threaten to interrupt your damage.

Once the encounter is complete, proceed into the Worldstone Chamber to face the Echo of Baal.

5. Defeat the Echo of Baal

The Echo of Baal is the final encounter and the main target of the run. Watch his attacks, reposition when necessary, and take advantage of safe opportunities to deal damage.

Pay attention to the Festering Appendages that appear during the encounter. If they interfere with your positioning or make the fight harder to manage, destroy them before returning your attention to Baal.

After the boss falls, collect your rewards before leaving. If you plan to repeat the run, make sure you have picked up anything valuable instead of rushing straight to the exit.

How to Make Baal Runs More Efficient

A fast route helps, but the strength and consistency of your build matter just as much.

Choose a build with reliable damage. Mobility is useful, but it needs to be backed by enough damage to clear dangerous enemies quickly. A character that moves fast but struggles against tougher targets may not be the best choice.

Avoid unnecessary fights. Focus on mandatory encounters and enemies that block your route. Clearing every monster can be worthwhile for experience, but it may not be the best strategy when your primary goal is repeated farming.

Manage your inventory before starting. Sorting equipment after every run adds up over time. Decide which Diablo 4 items are worth keeping, and avoid returning to town more often than necessary.

Track your results across several runs. One lucky drop does not prove that a farming method is consistently better. Compare your clear times and rewards over a longer session before deciding whether to keep using the route.

Pick a difficulty you can handle. A challenging encounter can offer attractive rewards, but repeated deaths and slow boss fights undermine efficiency. Improve your equipment before committing to a difficulty that your character cannot clear comfortably.

Can Baal Runs Drop Mythic Uniques?

Mythic Uniques are among the most desirable items in Diablo 4, and farming endgame encounters is one way to pursue them. Baal runs can be part of that process, but you should not expect every Echo of Baal kill to produce a Mythic Unique.

Drops are unpredictable, so a run without your target item is not necessarily wasted. Other useful equipment, crafting D4 materials, and progression rewards can still make the time worthwhile.

If you are looking for a specific Mythic Unique, consider how each drop fits your current build. An item that immediately improves your character may be more useful than keeping every possible drop for later. Depending on your crafting options and available materials, unwanted Mythics may also contribute to longer-term progression.

The key is to treat Baal runs as a repeatable farming opportunity rather than a guaranteed source of a particular item.

Other Ways to Farm Mythic Uniques

Baal runs do not need to be your only endgame activity. Lair Bosses remain worth considering when you have the required summoning materials, while Belial may be another option depending on your progression and available resources.

Echo of Mephisto is also relevant to players pursuing Mythic rewards. If you obtain a Crux of the False Prophet, check the current in-game requirements and reward details before using it. Preparing your build for the encounter is important, especially if you do not have many opportunities to repeat it.

Kurast Undercity can provide another route through its Tribute system. Before spending valuable materials, confirm the current requirements and rewards so you know the activity fits your farming goals.

Switching between activities can help you make better use of the resources you already have. Rather than forcing yourself to repeat one encounter indefinitely, use Baal runs when the route suits your build and move to other options when you have the materials or a more attractive opportunity.

Is Baal Farming Worth It in Season 15?

Baal runs are a useful option for players who enjoy repeatable endgame encounters and want an alternative to traditional boss farming. The route is straightforward once you learn its stages: move through Ancients’ Way, defeat the three Ancients, push through Worldstone Keep, clear the Throne of Destruction, and finish the Echo of Baal.

For the best results, focus on consistent clears instead of chasing the fastest possible run at any cost. Use a build that combines mobility, damage, and survivability, collect worthwhile rewards, and compare your results over several attempts.

Most importantly, keep your farming routine flexible. Baal runs can support your search for Mythic Uniques, but they are only one part of Season 15’s endgame. Combining them with other activities and making sensible use of your materials gives you more ways to improve your character without relying on a single drop.
